Infrastar (Innovation and Networking for Fatigue and Reliability Analysis of Structures – Training for Assessment of Risk) is a MSCA-ITN-ETN project coordinated by Ifsttar that provides training to 12 PhD students who are finishing their doctoral programme. The project started in May 2016 and will end in April 2020. Basically, it aims to develop knowledge, expertise and skills for optimal and reliable management of concrete structures: bridges and wind turbines in relation to fatigue. The project addresses 3 major challenges: 1/ Advanced modelling of concrete fatigue behaviour; 2/ New Non-Destructive Testing methods for early aged damage detection and 3/ Probabilistic approach of structure reliability under fatigue.

What’s on the agenda?
Keynotes, discussions, posters session, demonstrations, panel discussions, networking. Basically, the morning and the afternoon will be dedicated to discussion about sciences and European projects respectively.

Do not miss the opportunity to meet and discuss with experts in civil engineering and European Commission representatives: Dr Odile Abraham (Ifsttar), Morten Søgaard Andersen (DNV-GL), Prof. Jan Bien (Wroclaw University of Science and Technology), Prof. Eugen Brühwiler (EPFL), Xavier Chapeleau (Ifsttar), Olivier Chassagne (EC), Pascal Collet (Total), Dr Fabian Kirsch (GuD Consult), Dr Piotr Klikowicz (NeoStrain), Claus Kramhøft (COWI), Dr Peter Lippert (Deutsche Bahn), Dr Ernst Niederleithinger (BAM), Dr Franziska Schmidt (Ifsttar), Prof. John Dalsgaard Sørensen (AAU), Dr Marc Thiele (BAM), Assoc. Prof. Sebastian Thöns (DTU), Prof. Ton Vrouwenvelder (TNO), Dr Thierry Yalamas (Phimeca), Project Officers (Research Executive Agency / EC).
