Background
MaRINET2, the Marine Renewables Infrastructure Network, is a network of 39 partners in 13 European Countries, involving research centres and organisations who work together to progress offshore renewable energy technologies such as wave, tidal and offshore-wind. This pan-European network will provide marine energy development companies, entrepreneurs, start-ups and researchers with fully-funded access to marine energy experts and the world’s leading wave, tidal and offshore-wind test facilities.

LAST call now open for free access to MaRINET2 offshore renewables testing
The last MaRINET2 transnational access call for offshore renewable testing is open from 1th September until 15th October 2020. The project offers free access to a world-leading network of testing and research infrastructures. The call is open to offshore energy technology developers, including offshore wind, wave and tidal energy at system and component level.
MaRINET2 is a €10.5m Horizon 2020 funded project which supports offshore renewable energy R&D activities. It provides free-of-charge access to a network of 57 world-leading research facilities across Europe through a series of competitive calls.
The test facilities include the test facilities of Centrale Nantes (ECN): the Hydrodynamic and Ocean Engineering Tank and the SEMREV (Sea Test Site).
The first three MaRINET2 calls awarded €3.5 million in free testing access to almost 100 users. The fourth call will facilitate access to testing and research facilities for a new group of offshore renewable energy technology developers. The project’s objective is to accelerate the progress of the European offshore renewables sector towards full-scale industrialisation.
