Background
Wind turbines already have a recyclability rate of 85% to 90%. It is crucial that we keep working on innovative solutions and recycling technology to deliver wind energy in the most sustainable way. Wind, together with the chemical and composite industries, are already making significant progress in diversifying and scaling-up recycling technologies.
Join our online workshop where policymakers, researchers and industry representatives will be looking at how to shape the future of sustainable wind energy materials. The main focus of this workshop will be the recyclability of existing materials and any new developments that could be applied in the future. When we talk about circular economy, we want to stress the importance of the EU funding for research in materials and recycling. The next Research & Innovation framework Horizon Europe must prioritise these areas in order to safeguard Europe’s technology leadership. The event is organised by the European Technology & Innovation Platform on Wind Energy (ETIPWind) with the support of the WindEurope Sustainability Working Group. The number of participants is limited. Be sure to register on time to not miss out on the chance to be part of this important discussion! |
