Background
Following FOWT 2019’s resounding success with nearly 810 participants from 28 different countries, preparation for FOWT 2020 is actively underway. We are pleased to announce that the next edition will return to Marseille and will be held on September 7th, 8th and 9th, 2020 in the prestigious Palais du Pharo.
Everything will be done so that the global Community of the Floating offshore wind industry can get together on 7 and 8th of September, with the same energy and to make the 2020 edition a true success. The organizers will follow all the health recommendations of the French Governement. We wanted to thank again our sponsors, partners, speakers and participants for their support and trust.
The Organization Committee closely works with all the stakeholders to ensure we deliver the highest quality and true value of this world-leading event. The initial format of the event (plenary sessions, BtoB meetings and academic sessions) has been adapted to facilitate the participation of everyone in September: this is why the academic sessions initially planned on 9th of September will be 100% digitalized and will not be held physically.

The objective of FOWT is to further the advancement of floating wind and to accelerate its implementation into the global renewable energy mix.This event is meant to promote constructive discussions between all actors and stakeholders of this emerging industry. Hence the affordable registration fee and the “no pay to speak policy” implemented by the organization committee.
