The Bretagne and Pays de la Loire regions combine all the ingredients for cultivating the successful emergence and growth of the burgeoning floating wind power industry: they draw on their geographical resources, industrial know-how, scientific and technological expertise and political investment. Thus it is only natural that these French regions be at the heart of the development of floating wind power. And this sector is growing by the day. The first floating turbines were deployed in 2017 and 2018 from the ports of Saint Nazaire and Brest – one of the turbines has even been connected to the grid since April 2018. The FWP Atlantic Forum is designed as an immersive experience in the floating wind power sector, offering feedback and first-hand knowledge on the real issues encountered in the field. The technical and interactive workshops organised at project development sites provide the opportunity to connect with industry experts and discuss the technical challenges and technological barriers still to overcome.

In short, the FWP Atlantic Forum is the go-to event in the floating wind sector, organised by and for the industry.
