Background
The aim of this Masterclass – organized by the Dutch Marine Energy Centre – is to help OPIN members and all those involved in the offshore renewable market get a better understanding of environmental monitoring and the impact of deploying (large-scale) offshore renewable energy devices
Experts from the organisations WavEC and INESC TEC – partners in the Horizon project EU-SCORES – will give insight into the components that environmental monitoring should consist of and how sensors and robotic systems can be used. Both organisations tap from a comprehensive range of environmental services, combining years of experience and know-how at the laboratory and in the open sea and through research and technological development.
Bluespring – Lead partner in the Interreg ENCORE project – compiled their knowhow and experience in oper water environmental monitoring into an authoritative and richly illustrated online course, created together with e-learning experts DEFTIQ. This course is part of 8 stand-alone online courses about the emerging offshore renewable energy (ORE) sector. Peter will dive with you into a case study taken from the Tocardo tidal power plant in the Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier.
