Background
Webinar n°32 is dedicated to the presentation of the BIODYTHERM project.
As part of the development of floating wind turbines, the BIODYTHERM project has studied the impact of biocolonization on the thermal behavior of dynamic submarine power cables for floating wind turbines. The project also investigated the introduction of a new thermal sensor to monitor the growth of biolonization.
Ziad Maksassi, an LTeN reseaarcher supported by CAPACITÉS, will present the results of this project, as well as the maturation process leading to the pre-industrial development of a thermal sensor to measure the growth of biofouling on cables.
CAPACITÉS SAS is the engineering and research development subsidiary of Nantes Université. CAPACITÉS works directly with scientists in research laboratories, for the benefit of companies and local authorities, through tailor-made services: consulting, expertise, R&D.
