General framework of the activity
The company Energies des Vagues Et Renouvelables/ Wave and Renewable Energy (EVER) was created in 2017 to develop an innovative wave energy device.
This device benefits from the inherent advantages of the “rotating mass converters” to which it is related. Distinctive features allow it to overcome the limitations that are specific to this family, and to present an overall solution that significantly increases the performance expected for this type of device.
The current development of the project corresponds to the “proof of concept” level (TRL 3-4).
EVER has received support from BPI France through the French Tech “Emergence” grant. It has obtained the ” Jeune entreprise Innovante ” label.
EVER was selected as part of the European OPIN project to benefit from a technical and economic analysis and a technological diagnosis by a panel of European experts.
EVER is a laureate of the European “Marine Alliance Energy” programme, and will benefit from technical and commercial development assistance for its project over the coming months.
Specific skills in the MRE field
EVER has skills in structural engineering, mechanics, systems engineering and electrical engineering.
Partnerships established with specialised academic and economic players, particularly in the Loire region, will enable EVER to extend the scope of several skills in the field of MRE over the coming months, particularly in hydrodynamics and in the economic and technical management of offshore installations.
Products or services in MRE
The device being developed by EVER aims to offer an economically efficient solution for the conversion of wave energy.
The device is intended to be produced by current players in the MRE sector, with a view to being deployed in a variety of situations, whether initially for installations intended to supply non-interconnected areas such as island communities, offshore installations requiring energy autonomy or, in the longer term, industrial farms connected to the onshore electricity grid.
