French and Dutch economic activity reveals the complementarity between the two countries. French and Dutch companies and expertise clusters work together in the knowledge and value chains of various sectors. The Dutch and French markets share many similarities. Both countries face similar challenges in the areas of production, innovation and infrastructure.
Specific skills in the MRE field
The Netherlands wants to share the knowledge and experience they have acquired in the Offhore Wind Energy sector with France.
The two countries face similar challenges and objectives to achieve the ambitious goal of a decarbonized society in 2050 (EU roadmap) through the development of renewable energy production and use.
Collaboration in this field can increase the potential of offshore energy in the areas of public policy and knowledge as well as fostering opportunities and innovation for organizations and at the enterprise level.
Thus Renewable Marine Energies represents a major sector for NBSO Nantes. The economic office’s mission, with the support of the Dutch Embassy in Paris, is to favorize long-term collaboration between the Pays de la Loire, Brittany and the Netherlands, by identifying opportunities for future cooperation and knowledge sharing in offshore wind energy.
