EERA DeepWind 2020 has seen a high participation of WEAMEC and its partners to present our Pays de la loire regional ecosystem’s research to the Offshore wind international community through 3 presentations.
- Jean-Christophe Gilloteaux from Centrale Nantes presented Introduction to the FARWIND concept for sustainable fuel production from the far-offshore wind energy resource, research supported by WEAMEC through several projects,
- Vincent Leroy from Centrale Nantes presented the ongoing work of the HeLoFOW project granted by WEAMEC in collaboration with NTNU and Innosea
- and CEA Tech presented Far off-shore wind energy-based hydrogen production:Technological assessment and market evaluation designs from the results of the MHyWind project
The EERA DeepWind Conference is an annual event gathering researchers and industry interacting with a mix of plenary presentations with broad appeal, presentations in parallel sessions and posters on specific science and technology themes. The event has been very fruitful for WEAMEC and present WEAMEC’s partners to consolidate and create collaborations for future European collaboration in the context of International opportunities. The conference is established as an important venue on deep sea offshore wind research hosted by SINTEF and NTNU and organized in association with the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) joint programme on wind energy. The aim is to present the latest and best on-going research and innovation on deep sea offshore wind farms.
