In this OPIN Masterclass we discuss the possibilities and challenges of combining multiple renewable energy generation technologies in one offshore park. This includes regulatory, technical and financial challenges. A particular focus will be on policy requirements and challenges.
The masterclass is based on early lessons learned during the European Scalable Offshore Renewable Energy Sources (EU-SCORES) project. EU-SCORES will pave the way for bankable multi-source offshore parks across Europe by 2025 and unlock the large-scale potential of wind, wave and offshore solar systems. »
The presenters will share information on the EU-SCORES project, the situation for Dutch and Belgian wind parks (i.e. steps for installing a wind park), infrastructure needs for installing other sources etc, permitting process for offshore renewables in Belgium based on the experience with the Belgian test site.
