Join this OPIN webinar on 13/10/21 from 3 to 4:15pm CEST about improving confidence of your project’ stakeholders (investors, insurers, etc.) through standardisation and certification.
Standards and associated certification schemes can support the development of Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) technologies, by reducing the risk of failure and increasing stakeholders confidence, in particular investors and insurers.
This webinar will provide an overview of the benefits from standardisation and certification, progress on the codes and standards to date, and lessons learnt from ORE technology developers who went through the certification process.

- 3:00-3:10pm – , WEAMEC, will introduce the Ocean Power Innovation Network (OPIN) and support available for its +400 members
- 3:10-3:25pm – Michael Bullock/Joe Hulm, Renewable Risk Advisers, will share their experience of risk mitigation and provide a valuable insight on insurers and investors expectations regarding risk management
- 3:25-3:40pm – Jonathan Colby, Verdant Power and Chair of IEC TC 114 Marine Energy, will highlight how IEC standardisation and certification schemes can be applied to your technology, with a case study on IEC 62600-200 Tidal Power performance assessment
- 3:40-3:55pm – Pilar Heras, Floating Power Plant, will provide a technology developer’s feedback on certification with a particular focus on test campaigns and Technology Qualification
